In medical terms, nadir means "the lowest possible point," which doesn't sound very good at all, and "the point at which we begin to watch for an upward turn" which sounds a little better. Roger is not generating any of his own blood cells now.Having been at nadir once before (during his bone marrow transplant), and finding it to be a harsh and scary place, why would anyone go back?
I told Roger he's like an Antarctic explorer. He discovers inhospitable places and hates the experience, and yet, he keeps going back. There must be a word for people like that.
Greetings and best wishes from the McAteers.
ReplyDeleteLisa and I have been following your treatment and have attempted to leave comments numerous times. Please know you both are in our hearts, thoughts and prayers always. Borrowing our daughters computer and hope to get our best wishes to you this time.
Always pulling for you both, Mike & Lisa
Hi Mike and Lisa! Blogger has made some changes to the comments are controlled. Everyone has been complaining that they can't leave messages. I've fiddled and fiddled with it and I think I've finally got it set so it's possible to comment.
ReplyDeleteI check into your blog periodically too and assume (correctly, I hope) that no new blog news is good news!
